Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my computer can read a DVD-Rom disk?
Take any DVD movie that you have at home (that you normally watch on your TV with a DVD player) and place it into
your computer's CD drive. If the drive is also a DVD drive the movie will probably begin to play, or you will be
able to access the disk the same way you would a CD (From My Computer on Windows or as a mounted drive on Mac OS X).
Most newer computers do have DVD-Rom drives. All DVD-Rom drives can also read CDs

How can I pay you?
We will send you an updated invoice after we receive and count your slides. Invoices may be paid by credit card (international orders are fine, but we don't accept American Express). You may also pay us by check or money order made out to In A Flash, LLC. For personal checks we will wait for them to clear before returning your slides.
I want to digitize my own slides, do you have any advice for me?
Yes! Start by reading the Pros and Cons located on our
How and Why page. If you still want to do them yourself we highly recommend sorting through your slides somehow first
to save yourself time, especially if you are scanning. Find a projector (ebay has many varieties) and have an old fashioned
slide show. Set up a tripod and your digital camera and snap quick pictures of each image so you have a digital record of what
is on each roll or carousel. These will not be high quality duplications, but will be better than nothing! Once you have
thinned your slide collection down to the ones you'd like to spend more time on you can look into a
Slide Copier or a scanner, preferably one with a batch
feeder (we hear the Nikon scanners are good).
